Accommodation

Rooms have been reserved at the Hyatt Regency Montréal,   1255 Jeanne-Mance Street, in downtown Montréal.

Reservations should be made no later than April 6, 2013 to take advantage of the special rates negotiated for the Conference. After that date, the Conference room blocks will be released and hotel may charge higher rates.

Single or Double Occupancy: $179.00 per night.

The room rate includes free wi-fi internet access for one device which can be used anywhere in the hotel.  Please note that no other internet access will be provided by the Conference Organization.

 

The above mentioned price does not include a lodging tax of 3.5%, the 5% federal goods and services tax (GST) and a 9.975% provincial sales tax (PST).  Taxes are subject to change without notice.

Please note that the registration fee is the equivalent (in Canadian dollars) of the registration fee for the 2010 World Conference in Singapore.

The registration fee includes: gala dinner, lunches, welcome reception and coffee breaks.

Cancellation and Refunds

Participants may withdraw their registration fee in writing prior to April 1st, 2013. All refunds are subject to a $100.00 CAD administration fee. After this date no refunds will be possible.

 

3rd World Conference on Research Integrit

The 3rd World Conference on Research Integrity will focus international attention on research integrity, responsible conduct of research, and publication of research. Attendees will have opportunities to learn the current state of worldwide progress on research integrity, discuss new challenges and emerging topics, and help shape national and international responses.

The Conference will provide a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas, expertise, and experience among national and institutional leaders, policy makers, research funders, leaders of professional societies, journal editors, publishers, researchers, educators, administrators, and graduate and postdoctoral trainees.

Areas of particular interest for the upcoming conference include:

integrity in cross-national, cross-disciplinary and cross-sector partnerships;
trust in science including political and media issues, responses to misconduct, and correction of the scientific record;
emerging challenges in research integrity associated with new technologies and scientific frontiers; and
fostering research integrity through policies, codes, standards and training;

For the first time, the World Conference invites proposals of presentations on empirical research on research integrity and analyses of related topics. Please see the Call for Abstracts for more information.

One outcome of the conference will be a Montreal Statement that will offer guidance on integrity in cross-national, cross-disciplinary and cross-sector research. Attendees will have the opportunity to comment on a draft Montreal Statement, which will be available on this website ahead of the conference. The finalized Statement will be issued after a further one-month comment period following the Montréal conference.
